Legal information

Privacy Policy

Peptide Works' published information about personal data, cookies, analytics, website content and data-subject requests.

At Peptide Works, we value your privacy and are committed to using personal information for the purposes described in this policy.

Forms

When you submit a support request or general enquiry through the official website, Peptide Works states that it collects your first name, last name and email address so it can communicate with you.

The current policy states that personal data submitted through the website is stored in the website database. This page does not contain a contact form or collect contact-form data.

Comments

When visitors leave comments, the website may collect the data shown in the comments form together with the visitor's IP address and browser user-agent string to support spam detection.

An anonymised string created from an email address may be supplied to the Gravatar service to check whether the visitor uses it. After a comment is approved, the associated profile picture may be visible publicly in the context of that comment. See the Gravatar service privacy information.

Media

If you upload images, avoid including embedded location data such as EXIF GPS. Other website visitors may be able to download images and extract that location data.

Cookies

If you leave a comment, you may be offered the option to save your name, email address and website in cookies for convenience. The published policy states that these cookies last for one year.

If you have an account and log in, the website may set a temporary cookie to determine whether the browser accepts cookies; this contains no personal data and is discarded when the browser closes.

The published policy states that login cookies last for two days, screen-option cookies last for one year, and selecting “Remember Me” keeps the login for two weeks. Logging out removes the login cookies. If a user edits or publishes an article, an additional cookie recording the post ID may be stored for one day.

Embedded content from other websites

Articles may contain embedded content such as videos, images or articles. Embedded content can behave as though the visitor had visited the third-party website directly. That website may collect data, use cookies, embed additional tracking and monitor interaction according to its own policy.

Google Analytics

The current Peptide Works policy states that Google Analytics is used to measure website visits and that Analytics uses cookies. It also states that collected data is processed anonymously, data sharing is disabled and no other Google services are combined with Analytics cookies.

Requests and rights of the data subject

Right to erasure

The published policy allows a data subject to request erasure. It describes an email-confirmation step followed by administrative review. Where comments remain, the policy says they may be anonymised. Content may need to be reassigned or removed as part of that review.

Access and portability

The policy allows a data subject to request a copy of their data. It describes double opt-in email confirmation and the creation of an XML or JSON export, made available by email for a stated 48-hour period.

Rectification and complaints

The policy states that a data subject may request correction of data or submit a complaint, with email confirmation before administrative handling.

Email marketing

Peptide Works states that it uses email marketing and newsletters, stores the minimum information needed for that purpose—name and email address—and includes an unsubscribe option in marketing messages.

Contact route: Data-rights requests should be made through the official Peptide Works contact service.
